Digital Art Masters vol 7

Hey!

Good news!…for me at least… my general’s portrait is in the “Digital Art Masters v 7″ compilation. There’s tons of great images in the book and a lot of info about how they were made, so if you are interested, get a copy.

What else…mmmm…ah! I haven’t been able to do some personal stuff because I have been working on several proyects (payed stuff, since we all need to eat) for the last 3 months. The good news is that after a year of posting stuff here in this blog, I finally made to Blur Studios. If you read the “Intro” post you will notice this was the main reason for me to start with the blog, so in a way, an objective has been accomplished. Let’s hope they’ll be happy with my work and that they’ll continue to want to work with me…I’m crossing my fingers.

I’ll post some of the work I did for Unit Image soon! when the project will come out, in about two weeks :D

Cheers!

your friendly neighborhood the guy that makes three d stuff

Curious

Hi! it has been some hard couple of months since I entered Unit Image. We’re doing all we can to finish the project we’re working on as good as we can…but sssshhhhhh!! The only thing I can say right now is that you’ll see our work very soon!

Something else! KrisKelly3D, a guy from www.zbrushcentral.com leave this in my sketchbook post few weeks ago. I just wanted to share it since I’m very surprised that a girl has my Cash image tattooed in his thigh! quite strange :D

I’ll try to do some personal stuff soon :(

cheers!!

Speed6! Zombie

Hi everyone!

I’ll be working in a really nice project for about two months, starting tomorrow! So I thought it would be a good idea to do a speed to warm up, since I haven’t touched Zbrush for a few weeks.
I came up with this zombie after reading Walking Dead 15!

Ah! and don’t forget to take a look to the newest and coolest CG Artists collective in the all universe, BJUICE! … We’re a very motivated team and we’re looking forward to participate in some nice projects :D

I almost forgot! For this model I used pointpusher’s base model! you can go to his blog and see his amazing work…he’s a very nice guy also :D

Cheers!

GORILLAZ

Few months ago, the people at Fortiche called me. It went something like this:

-are you interested in working for a few weeks?

to which I answered:

-right now I’m very busy doing other projects, so I’m afraid I can’t work at this time. Anyhow, can I know what’s the project about?”
-is for a Gorillaz video.
-O-O-OK! I’LL BE THERE THIS AFTERNOON!

It was a great pleasure to work for one of my favorite bands! It was a great project and I met some really nice people…and Jamie Hewlett! Sorry, I’m a big fan.
In this project I created some textures for the characters and improved some other textures we already had, I created high definition details and displacement maps to give a more interesting look to the models, and I also did some shaders. I guess my contribution for this project was small but I got a “great work” with both of Jamie Hewlett’s thumbs up, which has been the best reward to a well done job! Oh, Mr Hewlett!…I’ll stop playing the teenager.

Here we come!

Hi there! The people from “3d Artist” magazine are showcasing my work in a short interview they made me a while ago (issue 34). I don’t say anything interesting but there are many reasons for you to get a copy, like an interview to Ryan Kingslien and many pages of tutorials! so, go there and get it!…if you’re interested… thanks, “3d Artist”!

Also! We’re working hard in some animated projects at Bjuice. Here’s a little image I did for one of the projects (I’m not very good at drawing). Right now we’re animating and our first two projects should be out in a couple of months.

cheers!

I’m Jake’s total lack of concentration

So, after a long morning and afternoon doing some pretty boring and official adult’s stuff, I decided to spend some time just having fun with photoshop better than working in what I should be doing…I’m not in the mood.

I still think that the blog need some colors, so I did a little experiment while playing with filters and some render passes.

wait! there’s not much color in this image…

Speed5!!

Hi everyone!

Long time no see! Right now we’re working on some few animations projects, so the blog has been abandoned for a while.

Next week I’ll be posting some more stuff! but for now, here’s a speed based on a guy I saw the other day…done in about 2 hours.

cheers!

et puis voilà qu’on est tous finalement en permanence  ”Chez Ginette”  en train de travailler sur nos petits projets! ça se passe bien et bientôt (d’ici la fin de l’année) on espère pouvoir vous montrer le résultat de nos efforts!

ps: my general is in the latest issue of  ”3d Creative” and “3d World”! there’s some pretty interesting stuff in both issues so go and get them!

Niiiiiiice!

Hello again, my dear friends.

This time is only to share the light that  “ZbrushCentral” brought to my life in this dark and cold summer morning in Paris, while I’m still waiting for a confirmation from someone who could change my life (professionally speaking).

Thanks, Zbrush Central for the top row!

stresssssssssss…toujours pas de nouvelle…
